I feel my creative energy is nourished by movement.
For the next two weeks I’ll be moving between Taiwan and South Africa, and then around South Africa to meet and reconnect with family and with friends.
I’ll be making use of 9 airplanes and 5 cars as I travel. Hopefully my carbon footprint will not be too large.
Here are some of the projects I wish to work on with my head in the clouds:
Davinci’s Hourglass - a middle grade fantasy novel.
Slef-Disabled: A Body Of Words - a collection of published and unpublished poems.
Picture Book Agent Submissions Packet - three 500-word stories.
Frictions and Fragmentations - small pieces I’ll be writing while on the go.
Pockets - outline a science fiction novel
Wonderland of Malice - complete draft 1
Mostly Ghostly, Anon - outline novel-in-flash
The Final Tooth Fairy - a chapter book
Signature Moves - a nonfiction book about creativity, language acquisition, personal growth
Able-Bodied and Guilty - a memoir
I might not have time/energy to post regularly on substack or on instagram during my trip to and around South Africa, but I will try my best to keep creating and sharing my creations.
