30 October 2007
Hi again, dad!
We went cycling last Sunday. Up a mountain nogal! I saw a dead white-and-black striped snake in the road. We also saw a lizard eat an ant for breakfast. Cool!
By the way, I got the letter you sent. You posted it on 1 August and it arrived in Taipei on 23 October! Please remember to write “Taiwan” on the post you send us, otherwise they take a long time to figure out which country you are posting to. Thanks!
My book is coming along slowly. I try to write something every day. How is your writing going? Keep at it!
We are getting a box of things together - I am not sure if this letter will be included within the box. Once the box is full we’ll post it.
I’ve been quite lazy this past week - sleeping a lot, generally not getting things done that I know I should get done. Sigh. I guess we all need time to relax, to stop what we are doing and to smell the roses.
I really can’t wait for our Christmas vacation. 6 glorious days at the beach, soaking up some sun, getting daily massages. Koh Samui, here we come!
I hope you are able to keep in contact with Jonnathan and the rest of the family. I do miss them, and I do like to hear what they are up to once in a while.
Bye for now - Quenntis
P.S. Track titles of included CD:
#1 - Icarus Swore (1999)
#2 - A Palimpsest Pick-A-Back Kinda Movement (2000)
#3 - My Heart Saw Day (1997)
#1 and #2 are a bit soft - so turn up the volume!
