NEARLY
unpunctuated by choice
a poem nearly wandered out my brain, raw and pure and impulsive, and in pieces
yes, it barely made it out through my inky veins clogged with cholesterol-shaped plots and complications and self-doubts and my uniquely designed self-sabotagings
and i nearly wrote it down for the world to see
the world almost became a better place because of my poem born out of an inkling of how i continue to see the world as half-everything and half-nothing
so i had a heart-to-heart attack with my muse
we did kung fu on tofu with weaponized haiku to make quantum noodles out of our uncertainties
and i nearly punched the lines instead of punctuating them improperly
i am leaving these poem-shaped spaces on the page as the aces up my sleeve have run out of paper cuts to cut leaving me to bleed high and dry
punctuated by voice
